Welcome to Frome Hockey Club! 

We are a small, friendly hockey club from Frome based at the Eastern end of Somerset.We run 2 ladies teams. Both ladies teams play in competitive leagues, with the ability to develop our juniors into these teams and beyond!

Frome Hockey, is all about fun hockey, building friendships, developing hockey knowledge and skill, personal growth, respecting others and being positive. We believe to achieve this, as a club, that there are 4 key areas that we support:

Being good to our members

We understand that communication is key for our members on and off the pitch, and that a fair and transparent selection policy is in place to support all teams equally. We want to ensure that hockey is accessible to everyone, no matter what their personal circumstances are, and we adapt depending on our member’s needs.

Excellent coaching and development

No matter your age or skill, we have coaching that can accommodate your aspirations. We encourage progression through our teams and where skill and commitment is shown, as a player you will be move up the team structure.

Growing as one club

We are continuously looking for ways to improve our club, be it with a grant, sponsorship or lots more players!  At Frome Hockey, we do not see ourselves as 3 teams, that play on Saturday, but as one club, that learn, develop and laugh together with a huge amount of positivity. We are always looking on how we can improve to grow the club, and no idea is turned away.

Being a hockey family

The term a ‘sport family’ is often miss used, but at Frome Hockey, over the decades and currently, we have had mums, aunts and daughters playing together (even on the same team), we encourage all parents to be actively involved, and we socialise all as a club, no matter the age! We truly believe that relationships are grown for life at Frome Hockey on and off the pitch…
