Frome 2nd Team Vs Mendip 2's

Playing at home to local rivals Mendips 2's, Frome 2's stepped onto the pitch knowing that they would have to work hard to get a good result.

The game was very highly charged and opportunities to score were created at both ends of the pitch.  However the score line was not broken and the result was goalless at half time.

With teams rejigged and playing formations redeveloped to gain the upper hand both teams managed to keep the ball out of their oppenants net and scrabbled away out of the D until Frome eventually obtained a well deserved break when it was determined that a Mendip player stopped a certain goal using her foot.

Captain Zoe Cullum stepped up and coolly put the ball in the bottom left corner to break the deadlock.   With a 5mins to go Frome adopted a defensive game to the end to ensure the points.
